Heaven

I am so eager (Olivia loves that word) to share this with you!  I was browsing our church's app this morning and found the recordings for two sermons about heaven I heard in May by Pastor Gini Smith.  Her careful study and revelation about heaven blew me away, but most importantly, I was inspired by her love for the Father and deep desire to know him more.

Fruit

God talks to us through fruit, especially during sweet, fruit-filled summertime.;) 

One child prayed last week for their siblings and cousins, that they would be like fruit trees, that anyone who eats from their tree/life would come to know Jesus.  Her prayer about knocked me over.  YES and AMEN!  Out of the mouths of babes, I tell you. 

 

We try to pull off rotten fruit while picking so it doesn't contaminate the fruit next to it. The fruit that is ripening wouldn't even have a chance if it continued to touch the bad fruit. Isn't this so true in our lives?  A simple unchecked thought that grows into a bad attitude, which produces an unkind word can spread and so easily be destructive to others.

2 Cor. 10:5 ^"We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."

 

I am so thankful we can renew our minds through the Word, worship (just downloaded a bunch of worship songs onto my phone that are really ministering to me right now), and fellowship.

Romans 12:2, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

 

May we produce and be good fruit!
