Towels & Pink Blankies

Monday, September 20, 2010

My little sewing projects started with some mending I needed to do for David.  I got a sewing machine for my birthday (an amazing present that everyone went in on), but I am a bit intimidated by it.  I have always done everything by hand.  Upon completing his pants successfully, I was ready to tackle something else.
I made a few simple gifts.
I got the white towels and sewed pom poms on them.
I made the letter initials by cutting them out of fabric (like with my love pillow) and sewing them on.

They are pretty simple, but I like how they turned out and hopefully the recipients like them too!

I made a couple for my sister with fur.  Shhh... don't tell her. :)
Don't they look just like her?
Next, I sewed pink blankies for my little girls.
I was only planning on making one for Julia, so she'd have one like her sister, but I had enough fabric to make one for both of them.
Olivia got a new pink blankie with her name on it.  She was literally jumping up and down!
I should be back with a few other little projects I've been working on.

  1. Wow! They are so cute! Love them all! I was wondering if you were going to be lonely this week but I think you will probably be having too much fun with projects! :)
